How to download pictures from the memory of the PC- Cam series without using the bundled application PC- CAM Center?

When connecting the PC- Cam series to a system with either Windows XP or Windows 2000 Operating systems, you can get the pictures from the memory of the cam browsing in Windows explorer from the following paths:

  • For PC CAM 600 and PC-CAM 750:

    C:/Documents and Settings/user profile/Application Data/Creative/CTCamera/PD0230/CHECKSUM/

  • For PC CAM 300 and PC-CAM 300 1.3 MP

    C:/Documents and Settings/user profile/Application Data/Creative/CTCamera/PD0160/CHECKSUM/

  • For PC CAM 880

The PC-CAM 880 is detected as a removable disk. To download picture from it, select the storage device mode (red light on), and then browse to E:\ where E: is the drive letter for the removable disk.

  • For CD-CAM 3000Z/3200Z

Open Windows Explorer and select the drive letter named as CD- CAM 3000Z ( the same way you would access Removable device).

    E:\ DC-CAM 3000Z\ DCIM\ 100D3000\ PIC_0001

  • To format the cam's memory just delete the pictures thorough Windows Explorer. This is handy if you are away and need to format the cam's memory in order take more pictures but have no access to the PC CAM CENTER application.
